BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist | Online CBT Therapy in the UK and Internationally
Hi, I’m Abdullah Al-Shoaibi, a BABCP-accredited High-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist based in the UK. I provide online therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, panic, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and persistent overthinking. I work with clients across the UK, Europe, the USA, and the Middle East, offering evidence-based CBT combined with ACT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused approaches.
My work is grounded in neuroscience, clinical psychology, and a practical understanding of how emotional change actually happens. Therapy with me is collaborative, structured, and compassionate, helping you understand your mind, reduce emotional suffering, and build long-term psychological resilience.
My Approach to Therapy
I specialise in High-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for:
Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Social Anxiety
Panic Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Depression and low mood
Trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Low self-esteem and chronic self-criticism
Rumination and persistent negative thinking
Alongside CBT, I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients develop psychological flexibility, emotional regulation, and a kinder relationship with themselves.
Sessions are practical and collaborative. We work to understand the patterns that maintain distress, gently challenge unhelpful cycles, and build skills that support lasting change. My aim is not only symptom reduction, but helping you regain clarity, stability, and a sense of direction in your life.
Therapy Beyond Symptoms
Many people come to therapy not only because of a diagnosis, but because something inside feels heavy, stuck, or unresolved. This may include:
Feeling emotionally numb or disconnected
A sense of emptiness despite external success
Difficulty finding meaning or purpose
Ongoing inner tension, restlessness, or mental fatigue
Feeling trapped in old patterns that no longer serve you
Together, we explore how your mind and nervous system respond to stress, uncertainty, and past experiences, and how to create a more grounded, balanced, and fulfilling way of living.
Professional Background
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in High-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and several years of clinical experience working with adults across a wide range of psychological difficulties. My additional training includes:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Compassion-Focused Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Interventions
Positive Psychology
Psychology for Older Age
Relationships Coaching
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in manual labour, business, software development, and charity settings. These experiences allow me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and bring a grounded, practical perspective to therapy.
International and Cross-Cultural Work
I work with clients from the UK, Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. Supporting people across cultures has deepened my understanding of identity, migration, cultural transition, and the emotional challenges of living between worlds. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, or life transitions, you will be met with clarity, respect, and compassion.

Working Together
Therapy is a partnership. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. My role is to offer a safe, structured, and supportive space where you can understand your mind more clearly, reduce the weight of emotional distress, and develop healthier patterns of thinking and living.
If you are looking for a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist who offers online therapy for anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, and emotional difficulties, I would be glad to support you on your journey toward greater clarity, balance, and psychological wellbeing.
